Mike Cadotte is SVP and Director of Photography at TheUrbanAthletica.com. As he takes over the photographic reins of the new online fitness magazine, Cadotte continues to build the success of his fitness photography business – MidAtlantic Photography.
Cadotte’s growing success in the fitness industry can be seen in magazines/covers, including Baltimore Magazine, Physique & Fitness, John Parrillo’s Performance Press and Kettlebell Sport and Fitness Magazine. He specializes in shooting professional athletes and competitors, as well as established and aspiring models, who want to book print, TV and online modeling work in the fitness industry.
Beyond making beautiful photos for Urban Athletica.com, Cadotte is busy helping a growing number of models build portfolios that launch their careers. His shoot of Erin Mogart helped her land her gig as spokesmodel for FitTV.
Stylistically, Cadotte is known for using creative lighting to enhance models’ physiques and their surroundings. “I use environmental locations whenever possible,” he says — shooting models in in gyms cityscapes, at fitness and physique competitions, Zumba events, rollerderbies and of course, in studio.
Cadotte is also the photographer of choice for a growing number of National Physique Committee and Organization of Competitive Bodybuilding events.
