Sweat In The City // Sweat For A Cause

This is definitely a New York Minute! A late post guys (SORRY!) last Saturday I went up to NYC to meet my girlfriend for Sweaty Saturday, which was held on February 22nd. This was the second annual of Sweaty Saturday, and you ask what is Sweaty Saturday? It’s a day that celebrates fitness in the city! Several of NYC finest fitness studios offered special studio classes, health brands do demos along with some fitness experts who will give plenty of nutritional advice…and can’t forget the GIVEAWAYS!  Free Goodies who doesn't like that! Plus it’s all for a great cause! A portion of the proceeds from Sweaty Saturday will go to Partnership for Healthier America (PHA), a non-profit organization that raises awareness for childhood obesity.

I wanted to try out Under Armour’s Trainer, Natalie Uhling’s  Nu Fit class , since I am Baltimore girl! Had to check the hometown apparel power house’s athlete! Natalie’s class was held at Soho flagship store, Sweaty Betty, a UK yoga, fitness active wear brand.  Also Mio Skincare was there to treat you to mini-massages and beauty swag bags. OMY Natalie’s class KICKASS! Literally my arms and butt was feeling it and I definitely live up to the Sweaty Saturday as you can see in the photos below!

NUFit™! Natalie Uhling is a leading fitness guru in NYC dedicated to fun, powerful, core-blasting workouts. Her innovative NUFit™ program fuses the best elements of kickboxing, dance and toning in a 1-hour high intensity, music-blasting workout. Be ready to SWEAT and leave feeling ENERGIZED! Plus as being part of Team Vega, I want to give a SHOUT OUT to Vega for sending some of their best protein, pre-workout goodies over! Vega is a clean plant-based nutrition to help you fuel your healthy, active lifestyle!  Gave the ladies samples after the class; Check them out…they have bars, and other supplements as well!

Friday night when I came in, my girlfriend, Jami and I ate dinner at Hu Kitchen; I have been meaning to try this place since it open back in 2012.  The Primal Paleo style of food spot was delicious and nutritious. The menu is gluten-free, unprocessed foods, free ultra filtered water and the specialty drinks are yummy!
